Starting her journey working in the field of human services as a GNA/CNA at the age of 17 years old, Yvonne provided and cared for the elderly for many years. Yvonne a native of South Carolina, now resides in Baltimore, Maryland. After working with the elderly, she desired to work with mentally disabled children which led her to full-time work as an Educational Assistant 13 plus years. Yvonne developed a strong sense of dedication and devotion to helping within the community and the nonprofit sector. Her experience and lifelong dream of having her own nonprofit lead her to form her own organization, Esteem Ladies of Succor, Inc. to improve the quality of life, social and educational welfare for all within her community.
My name is Akesha Prettymen, I am an Early Childhood
educator and the mother of 3 young adults. Currently I am
employed as a Preschool teacher at the H.O.P.E Academy.
I am passionate about being of service and helping others.
Along with my work with children I joined Esteem Ladies Of
Succor in 2020, to network, and learn about the many other
ways I can be of service in and around the community.
